Europe is full of world famous cities such as Paris, London, Roma, Prague and so on. But the continent is also full of small towns which are as incredible as their famous counterparts. Here are several small towns across Europe that you must visit at all cost.

Located in the southwestern part of Sweden, Smogen is a picturesque small town with a population of approximately 1.300 people. The town is described as one of the liveliest “summer towns” of Sweden and is visited by numerous local and foreign travelers on a yearly basis. Smogen is often described as a Scandinavian town with a laid back and fishermen atmosphere.

The town of Dinant is located in Belgium at about 90 kilometers from Brussels, the capital of the country. The town has a population of almost 15.000 inhabitants and is known throughout Europe for its striking architecture. The main landmark of the town is the Norte Dame de Dinant. The church dates back to the 13th century and is situated on the banks of the River Meuse.

The Czech Republic is often described as one of Europe’s most scenic countries which explain our next choice, Cesky Krumlov. Located in the South Bohemia Region, this small city is as beautiful as Czech capital, Prague. The old parts of the city are recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and are home to the world famous Cesky Krumlov Castle. The castle is the focal landmark of the city and dates back to the mid-13th century.

Eze is a small town which lies in the southeastern parts of France in close proximity to the city of Nice. The town has a population of about 3.000 people and is known to be one of the country’s most beautiful places. Eze is nicknamed by the French as the “Eagle’s Nest” due to if location at the top of a cliff. Once you reach the town you will be amazed by the magnificent vistas of the Mediterranean that Eze offers to its visitors.

Portugal is becoming a more and more popular touristy destination in Europe and the town of Sintra is one of the many fascinating places within the country that have attributed to this fact. The town of Sintra is home to the famed Pena Park which is the location of numerous exotic plants that were brought to Portugal from the country’s former colonies. The town itself looks like a site that has been brought to life from a fairytale.
