Folded ClothesIf you are willing to keep the anxiety levels of your removal experience to a minimum, you have to be prepared to face all the challenges that the process poses in the most efficient manner known. That is why even before you start preparing for the relocation, you should get acquainted with the strategies and methods for tackling such projects and be prepared to employ them when the time for that comes.

Packing is one of the most essential skills that you have to possess in order to complete your relocation efficiently and without hassle. Ask whoever man and van contractor and you are going to be told the same thing. If you want not to bother yourself with the task, you can actually ask your man with a van to give you a helping hand – they can send technicians to do the packing for you the day before the move. If you are willing to tackle the job on your own, then you better spare at least a week, so that everything is done properly.

Your clothes are among the most important items to get with you at the new place, so do not approach their packing lightly. There are several things that you can do in order to get that done in a quicker and more efficient manner.

The key to successful packing is planning, so a couple of weeks before you actually begin, sort out the clothes that you are going to take with you and those you will get rid of. It goes without saying that the first ones you are going to pack, but even there should be some more sorting out – because there are clothes you will wear this season and others you will need only after several months or even a year – those should be packed separately.

If you want to avoid extreme wrinkling of your clothes during the transportation process, your best choice is getting a couple of the so called wardrobe boxes that are available in your local supermarket. They have been designed for the purpose specifically, and that is why you are going to find them useful for sure.  Items that are made of materials hard to wrinkle can easily be just folded in two and put in large boxes.

Do not use boxes for packing clothes that are made of sensitive fabrics – that is what you have suitcases for – make sure to use all suitcases available for packing clothes.

In any case, you should make sure that every piece of clothing that you pack, no matter whether it wrinkles or not, or whether it is made out of a sensitive or strong fabric, is nicely folded. On one hand thus you will prevent them from taking up two much space in your boxes and reduce the strain of the whole removal, and on the other – you will do yourself a big favor for the time when you have to unpack and rearrange everything at your new place of residence.
