This spending temple was built at the end of the 1st century B.C and is located in the French city of Vienne. The edifice is one of the best preserved Roman temples in the world and is very similar to the Maison Carree (a Roman temple in the city of Nimes, France). The temple was initially dedicated to Augustus but in 41 AD Emperor Claudius, grandson of Augustus decided to rededicate the temple to Augustus’s wife, Livia.
